EXPO DAVID FRANCO | 8 DE MARZO EN MAGISTRAL CONCEPT STORE

Nos embarcamos a un nuevo proyecto llamado "Underscene Gallery" en colaboración con Magistral Concept Store. El cual cosiste en abrir una plataforma para apoyar y vincular la moda y el arte en México. Sumandose a el proyecto "Pop Up" que comenzamos a finales del año pasado, en el cual invitamos a talentosos diseñadores nacionales a exponer y vender sus colecciones en la Magistral. 

Fotógrafos, ilustradores, video realizadores, diseñadores que trabajan o tienen relación con la moda tendrán este espacio para exponer sus proyectos personales, artísticos, profesionales. Sin mayor pretensión que mostrar su trabajo.

Magistral busca crear un punto de encuentro entre personas que valoran, trabajan y/o aprecian el arte y la moda. Gente que ve la belleza y el arte de una prenda de vestir, un juguete de diseñador, una ilustración o una imagen. Siempre buscando atraer e involucrar a un publico más amplio y diverso.

La inauguración de este espacio común en Magistral será el próximo jueves 8 de Marzo con la Exposición fotográfica de David Franco y las nuevas colecciones SS / 2012 de Marika Vera, Mancandy, Roberto Sánchez y Julia y Renata.

Fashion collaboration project with photographer Yin Chao and Editor Ujin Zhao for Chinese fashion magazine Vision. These collages were inspired by the work of the late Lee Alexander McQueen for a special edition issue about this talented fashion designer. Ashkan Honarvar has incorporated various aspects of the designer’s work into this series such as McQueen’s fascination with animals and motion, and the apparent contradiction between strength and fragility.

"Notoriously private Japanese fashion design icon Yohji Yamamoto lets his guard down in an exclusive, intimate short documentary film about life and the creative process, from Tokyo to New York.

Opening up about his artistic motivations, his love of music, and his aesthetic vision, the documentary follows Yamamoto through the entire creative cycle of a collection for his revolutionary line in collaboration with adidas, Y-3.

Beginning with the finalization of the collection and styling for the show in Tokyo, followed by his arrival in New York City to oversee the final touches for the presentation of Y-3’s Spring/Summer 2010 collection, the documentary turns an intimate eye on Yamamoto during fittings, model castings, guitar-playing, philosophical musings, and interactions with his staff and the global team bringing his ideas to life."

LA MAIN DANS LE SAC

"The film was shot in caviar and seafood restaurant Prunier, by the Arc de Triomphe in Paris.

Designed in 1925, and owned by Pierre Bergé since 2000, the restaurant is an Art Déco jewel, featuring the work of the best artists of the time, such as I.M. Cassandre, but also of modern artists like Bob Wilson, whose installation sits at the bar.

There you can treat yourself to "all that comes from the sea", including delicacies such as the "Christian Dior" oeuf en gelée with Tradition caviar...
